For the first time last week I went on a business retreat and my god it was IN-SANE.

From the villa’s white marble pillars and smell of oud, to the lush sun on your skin - It was a vibe.

But the best part about this trip was the people I was around. We spent our days chilling by the pool, sharing our experiences and helping each-other with our businesses.

It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had .

I went into this retreat with an open mind because I’m going to be honest with you Reader, I’ve had a business block inside me but I knew something was happening soon because I kept seeing repeated angel numbers for over a month.

1111, 2222, 3333, 4444, I knew something was coming.

But never in a million years would of I thought that the retreat was the breakthrough I needed.

So today I thought I’d share with you my 3 surprising lessons that can change the way you look at business.

Meeting like-minded women is everything

When I first started PMU I spent so much money on masterclasses, etc - I still do

At the time I had no choice to make it work, but as soon as you step into the world of business you realise it’s a never-ending cycle of learning. Things change all the time:

Trends

Economy

Social Media

You name it, so you need to have your ear to the ground to find out what’s going on.

But in the process you meet some many amazing women and make unreal connections which makes will make you more fulfilled and happy in what you do.

I’ve found one of the best ways to meet these people is to go to community events, awards etc.

Aimee Jones Aesthetics is a great example of this.

She’s made some amazing connections going to awards and events. And along with her unquestionable work ethic - whilst raising 2 kids. She’s become an award winning judge and speaker herself.

What you don’t want today might be the answer tomorrow.

Me and my fiance joke about this. There’s been times where I’ve suggested things to him and he doesn’t listen at all - not even a little.

But the moment he listens to a podcast or even worse, sees a reel of someone with a blue tick give the same bit of advice he listens!

I’m not sure what whole psychology is around it, but the same thing happened to me on the retreat. I’ve been suggested some ideas before which I’ve ignored, but because I was with women who’ve made it work I was completely open.

Sometimes you gota take a step back to be open to new ideas.

Your mindset is your biggest limitation…

Sometimes you think that an idea would never work in a million years. But trust me, when you’re around women who are throwing the rule book out the window you think differently.

There were women there with little to no followers doing multi 6-figures in beauty treatments and digital product sales.

It blew my mind.

And the ideas they were making this money with were things I’d never even thought of before. But once you see the proof, it squashes all limiting beliefs. Imagine what if you never had those limiting beliefs in the first in place?

The possibilities are endless.

If you say you can’t do it, that will be the answer.

To Finish Off

Every-time I’ve gone to events and connected with women who are on the same path, I feel SO energised.

It’s giving, nothings going to ruin my day energy…

So today I want to leave you with a challenge. If you haven’t got anything planned, get some events planned in your diary ASAP. You never know what amazing things are ahead.
